Emerging Deep Technologies, Mint-EY Digital Innovation Summit, 2019

An amazing day witnessing the changes in emerging technologies such as AI, Blockchain and ML at the Mint-EY Digital Innovation Summit. I'm taking a moment's break to make a post about it because it's still going on a brisk pace and there have been some amazing discussions and presentations today.

It was also a great opportunity to meet my friends fellow Steem blockchain witness @bobinson and Jayanth Kolla, Partner Convergence Catalyst-a top management consultant based out of Bangalore. He was also part of the panelists at the event.

The networking too has been really great. I had a sleepless night before flying out and managed an hour's rest after reaching the city and have been on my feet ever since. I'm buzzing purely on excitement from all the incredible discussions today.

India is eager to proceed ahead at breakneck speed but lack of framework inadequate policies are holding us back. This was evident in many personal discussions with industry thought leaders today.

I was able to shed light and clear many apprehensions of those who aren't too familiar with the cryptocurrency + blockchain space. While our government and private sector are keen on blockchain there is still so many things to tackle.

However, there was positive vibes all around that this sector is certainly going to see a major growth in the years to come.

As for the presentation themselves, I won't go into too many details but the ones I was able to attend were simply brilliant. Even as cryptocurrency and decentralisation skeptics exist, some top industry leaders were able to lead by example on how the space is evolving, why this can go hand-in-hand and how many projects in the blockchain and crypto-space have been able to stir a revolution that's here to stay, whether we like it or not.

Inter-operability of AI, Blockchain and Machine Learning systems were also discussed as well as Cyber law amongst a host of other things. I'm thrilled to have been here and share the space with some of the best folks in the country.

Meeting Bob and Jayanth is always great as both of them pack so much knowledge and experience in their respective domains. I'm so glad that @bobinson is also part of Steem. I also met an old friend who now works with the Australian government around these business verticals.

I also proudly wore the STEEM/Steem pin on my jacket which is from the very first Steemfest and was able to talk in-depth about some of the positives of Steem blockchain technology. It's important we talk about things that we truly stand for. Steem has a potential that needs to be tapped. It may not be a product for the enterprise customers, but if developed properly it has the potential to become the product of choice for the masses across the globe.

On this positive note I end this post and hope the next time I attend such an event in Indian IT industry, it has welcomed blockchain + tokenisation or at the very least is pushing for reforms from the government more than ever before.
