"Breast milk not only favors the health of the child, but also provides mothers, families and society with multiple benefits, which are optimal if breastfeeding is exclusive.

Breast milk promotes sensory and cognitive development, as well as protecting the baby from infectious and chronic diseases. Exclusive breastfeeding reduces infant mortality from childhood illnesses such as diarrhea or pneumonia, two of the leading causes of death in infants.

Not only is it a benefit for the baby, but breastfeeding contributes to the health and well-being of the mother, decreasing the risk of ovarian and breast cancer.
