It seems the whole world is still interested in the well being of the Syrian people and want some fundamental change to happen in Syria, as we still see on social media posts and comments.
Some of them out of good intentions, at least that's what they think, otherwise how could someone wish for a country to plunge into 'democracy'?
If you are shallow enough to not understand what 'democracy' is or confused on who would reject democracy as a ruling political system or why would the people of the oldest continuous civilization on the planet fight so much fiercely rejecting the US forced exports of democracy to their country, read on.
A member of Quora's social Q & A wiki platform asked this question: Will there ever be a proper transition into democracy in Syria, if so how could that be achieved?
I got that question in my inbox having contributed before on Syria there, and including Syria in my profile topics. So I left a reply there that many in the western world won't like, but we don't count on many, we pay attention to the smart only and they're rare. I'm copying my full answer below to preserve it from Quora's heavy censorship and also to share with readers of this platform, so here's what I replied to the question of the Quora member:
Depends on how do you describe democracy, so far of what we’ve seen none of the countries that claim they have a democracy has a democracy in what it means: the rule of the majority.
Side note: Democracy is the worst forms of ruling, it literally means 1 idiot and 5 ignorant can decide the fate of the whole 10. Galileo And just in case some do not know: the USA is not a democracy, it was never intended to be, it’s a ‘Republic, if you can keep it’ ~Abraham Lincoln. After so many years the USA has turned into worse even than democracy, it’s a lobbycracy, figure that out.
The main difference between a republic and a democracy is the basic rights of each individual, in a republic that is preserved and protected, in a democracy that is sold out to the majority.
The UK, or Britain if you want, is not a democracy, it’s an absolute autocracy run by the Queen and her family, unless someone can provide us with a source of how she was elected as an indisputable untouchable owner forever. They throw some bones for the masses and let them get the illusion they are electing their own representatives, and they also installed a two majority party system, less efforts to control the masses.
France, is a banksters lobbycracy, will always be unless it gets a revolution, they never had one and the one(s) we’re told they had weren’t by all means and the masses were used to create chaos to oust the king, similarly to the Bolshevik ‘revolution’, and we all know what resulted from that.
Back to your question about Syria, the Syrian people cannot afford a lobbycracy, a banksters ruling, a foreign control through colored revolutions or black and white revolutions, that’s why they fought back and fiercely and are paying the hefty price on behalf of humanity to resist and create, and already managed to create, a role model to the rest of the free people of the world to resist the hegemony of the few controlling most of the western countries through their 1% elitists while literally enslaving the masses with high taxes and returning very little services.
To realize this: Today, after 9 years of the most brutal and vicious War of Terror led by the USA and its stooges and lackeys, still a Syrian family of 4 can live comfortably their month on a 50 dollars budget paying their utilities, phones’ bills, food, cloth, and even outings 3 or 4 times a month. How is that happening? The state subsidizes all essentials from the returns of taxes and from the extracts of riches. Healthcare of highest standards is free from treating headache to treating cancer, food in Syria costs 1/5th of the price of food in the cheapest neighboring country, the country after all these years of war of attrition has ZERO public debt, point to me another country from the camp that is fighting against the Syrian people that doesn’t have public debt, including the richest country in the world Saudi which started to sell its assets to pay its salaries.
Democracy, my friend, is not what we aspire, Syria’s official name is Syrian Arab Republic, and Assad might have been in power for long, but he’s served his people to the above described level. We don’t need circus for elections and clowns reaching office, we need men who serve. We have an elected parliament, one of the oldest in the region in case you didn’t know, women have equal political and social rights and are represented in the government and parliament and even we have high ranking women officers in the Armed forces, scientists, union leaders.. We had 11 political parties before 2011 actively represented in the parliament who managed to dismiss a former government entirely and a number of ministers in different governments. Now we have more than 19 political parties very much active including opposition parties with noises louder than that of NATO in criticism.
You better switch the channels you’re getting your information from, or try to answer the question how a country stood all this long, alone mostly (Russians came in end of 2015 and only after the US created its ISIS protecting coalition and they don’t fight on the ground), how could this small country stand up to the collective ‘intelligence’ forces, over 350,000 foreign terrorists, armed with over 137 billion dollars as per former PM of Qatar, coming easily from more than 100 countries (UN record), including from countries allied with Syria who took chance to dump their human garbage there to get rid of them - 14,000 from Central Russian republics by 2014 - how could this country still be winning?
Be sure nobody fights your war, but everybody will try to join in when they see you can win.
Every single word above is verifiable with hard evidence supported with UN’s own records, you just have to dig in those records and read it carefully, the UN has its own website, do not take what western MSM cherry pick for you.
End of my answer there.
