Daniel Webster's Thoughts on the Constitution

The Purpose of the Constitution of the United States
The purpose is listed in the introduction of the document itself. The purpose is:
- To form a more perfect Union
- establish Justice
- insure domestic Tranquility
- provide for the common Defense
- promotion of general Welfare
- secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity
Any order, ruling, law or mandate that goes against any of these purposes, is by definition "unconstitutional".
The Declaration of Independence
What is the purpose of government? Why are they established? It's explained in the Declaration of Independence:
"Governments are instituted among men to secure these [God-given] rights, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it and to institute new Government."
An Unconstitutional Government is an "unjust" government and is destructive towards these God-given rights. Even if the intentions are good.
A Destructive Government
IT IS THE [GOD-GIVEN] RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR TO ABOLISH ANY FORM OF DESTRUCTIVE GOVERNMENT
One of the rights we are endowed with from our Creator, is the right to abolish an "unjust" government and institute new Government. So long as the face of providence (the Creator God) shines upon the Government, government will operate justly - upholding the principles laid out in the Constitution of the United States. If the government is no longer operating by the consent of the governed and has become "destructive", it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish that government.
First we try altering the government through our elected officials. If that doesn't work, there is only one option left.
Abolition and Re-institution.
