Panels Inside Houses:

Why not have small solar panels inside the house as opposed to outside of the house? I know, you would get less power because less sun if the panels are smaller and inside houses, buildings, etc.

But is some power better than no power at all?

I would hide the panels inside houses and put one-way mirrors over them, as in windows that you see on Law & Order, Criminal Minds, on those television shows where the suspects can't see through the mirror. But the guys on the other side can see through that window mirror wall.

I would put solar panels on the one side as a way to hide them.

Panels & Batteries

Can you connect panels to batteries? If you could, then you could slowly charge up batteries.

Store Up Batteries

Then if you had a big basement, attic, shed, or something, you could store thousands of batteries, generators, devices, etc.

Backups

Perhaps, you could have them as backups. Someday, if some people didn't have power, like many in California in 2019 are struggling with for example, then they might buy or rent batteries from you. I know batteries may dissipate the energy over time. But again, it may slowly dissipate.

No Power vs Some Power

In other words, some power is better than no power, right? I would have solar power as a backup. I would not want to rely on solar. I would simply have it just in case. I would try to have batteries. I would have wind mills.

Try Not To Use It

But I would try my best not to use the mills.

Different Power Sources

I would try to have as many different kinds of power sources as possible. The more the better.

Conservatism

I would try my best to save up all kinds of power options and simply not use them like 99% of the time, if at all possible.
