After all of the Congressional hearings, the crocodile tears and empty promises, Facebook is back in the data gathering business bigger and better than ever. Their engineers and technicians have come up with a new method of spying on people around the world... this time through their television. According to an article by Mac Clavo for Technocracy News: "Social media giant Facebook continues to ramp up the creepy factor. According to a recently filed patent, Facebook wants to spy on you by hiding inaudible messages in TV ads."
This new technology would use television ads to emit a high-frequency tone inaudible to the human ear that automatically cues your cell-phone and turn on the microphone- gathering all the background noise such as conversations. The new technology is called “broadcast content view analysis based on ambient audio recording.”
"According to the patent, originally discovered by Metro, the system would use 'a non-human hearable digital sound' to activate your phone’s microphone. This noise, which could be a sound so high-pitched that humans cannot hear it, would contain a 'machine recognizable' set of Morse code-style beeps. Once your phone 'hears' or recognizes the trigger, it would begin to record the 'ambient noise' in the home, such as the sound of your air conditioning unit, plumbing noises from your pipes, and even your movements from one room to another. Your phone would even listen in on “distant human speech” and 'creaks from thermal contraction', according to the patent."
Also according to the patent, there is no mention of invasion of privacy, spying, recording personal or even intimate conversations... the thrust, or what we're supposed to believe, is that this will be done so that advertisers using Facebook can tailor their ads to your specific likes. Hey, does anybody want to buy a bridge??? What they fail to mention, as does the article for that matter, is that ALL social media as well as the security agencies share an algorithm that will not only make Facebook advertisers privy to your most intimate moments, but Google (and their affiliates), Twitter, the NSA, FBI, CIA and God knows who else... if you happen to own a TV.
This just looks like one more way that the powers that be, working through their Silicon Valley allies, can further surveille the world population. With 5G right around the corner, they'll be able to do it almost at the speed of light!
