While some might think he's full of silly conspiracy theories, for me Greg Palast is one of the view remaining investigative reporters who's reporting I still trust.

Greg Palast has a way of not losing sight of "the money-trail" and has done some amazing post 9/11 investigative reporting in which he showed what we now all know; that the invasion of Iraq was nothing more than the next phase in securing the world's oil, and a new playground for large corporations to do some lucrative business on. On mother's day in 2004 he gave a speech on the truth behind the War on Terror and the invasion of Iraq. Watch that speech as an intro to what he has to say about Trump's plans for Venezuela.
Greg Palast: The Most Important Investigative Reporter You've Never Heard Of
The accusations against Trump about "rigging the election" become even more laughable when we consider how the American government, be they Democrat or Republican, sets up puppet-regimes around the world to service the interests of large corporations. Greg has also reported from Venezuela for the BBC and the Guardian for years. The planned regime change in that country is for one reason only; the oil. And the Koch brothers who want that oil as badly as they want the heavy crude produced from fracking in Canada for which they need the Keystone pipeline; he has just issued a new permit to speed that up.
Trump said the permit issued Friday replaces one granted in March 2017. The order is intended speed up development of the controversial pipeline, which would ship crude oil from western Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.

It's sad to say, but almost everything can be explained by just following the money. Many conspiracy theories are in fact nothing else than the recognition of the power of money, and that the ones wielding this power hold sway over our governments and our lifes, and that they operate outside the view of the public and very much in the shadows. There are no conspiracies, there's just a top layer of insanely wealthy and powerful people who know how to take care of themselves and each other by controlling the public narrative. Let's talk about Russiagate once more, instead of reporting some truth and really show why Trump is just a puppet of billionaires who are a lot richer than him. Or why Obama can receive a Nobel Peace price, while drone-bombing 7 countries simultaneously. Just follow the money. Or let Greg do it for you:
