Most if not all fans of anime have heard of Studio Ghibli and most consider it as pioneering and one of the most innovative studios do ever exist.

Studio Ghible are responsible for such classics as My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Porco Rosso, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Grave of the Fireflies and the list goes on.
RIP Isao Takahata
Today news has spread that one of the co-founders of the iconic studio Isao Takahata has passed away at the age of 82.

Studio Ghibli was founded in 1982 by Hayao Miyazaki, Toshio Suzuki, Yasuyoshi Tokuma and Isao Takahata and of these men only 2 remain those being Hayao and Toshio and in honour of the fallen i will be doing a Studio Ghibli marathon today and will start with Grave of the Fireflies.

Fun Fact
The word Ghibli comes from the Italian word "ghibli" which comes from the Libyan-Arabic for "hot desert wind".
