Dynamic Interference: iTalent Contest Submission

🔴🔵👓 3D red-blue glasses recommended.

Hi everyone, this time I'd like to share Dynamic Interference, a new series of compositions i've been working on for the last couple of months.

Artwork created for the iTalent Contest. Click here to learn more about the current (4th) edition.

For these I began using the #graphic elements from my #visual vocabulary in a digital medium to develop ideas —about interference patterns, refraction and the dynamic relationship between shapes— for new art works and installations.

Along the way I’ve been exploring different possibilities and outcomes that have led me to incorporate new visual elements and effects, such as the #Anaglyph #Stereoscopic #3d images and animations you see here.

Anaglyph 3D is the name given to the stereoscopic 3D effect achieved by means of encoding each eye's image using filters of different (usually chromatically opposite) colors, typically red and cyan.

Anaglyph 3D images contain two differently filtered colored images, one for each eye. When viewed through the "color-coded" "anaglyph glasses", each of the two images reaches the eye it's intended for, revealing an integrated stereoscopic image. The visual cortex of the brain fuses this into the perception of a three-dimensional scene or composition.

See more experiments and part of the process in these previous posts: Dinamic Interference 001 and the Visual Explorations series (015, 014, 010, 007 & 006)

The process varies from one piece to another, but I often tend to blend different techniques and technologies (only as necessary though) to achieve the results I’m after, plus there’s always new stuff —planned or accidental— to find along the way.
