I missed the great Indian and Thai food that I had eaten in Japan.
I eat a lot of curry. And most of what I eat is authentic, hot’n’spicy south Asian curry.
Mmmmm, curry
Of course, when I was in Japan, I occasionally ate some of the standard Japanese curry (aka curry rice), a very common dish that is rather bland and sweet. Sometimes it was simply the most convenient meal around.
Real curry
But more often, we’d go to authentic curry restaurants such as those listed above. They were among the finest, tastiest, and hottest Indian and Thai curry restaurants I ever enjoyed.
After living in Japan, I also lived in both India (4 years) and Thailand (1 year).
But, to tell the truth, there were plenty of times when I missed the great Indian and Thai food that Japan produced. In fact, percentage wise, there are probably more excellent Indian restaurants in Japan than in India.
