Kpop Idols, Plastic Surgery and Black Icecream in Gangnam

I'm in Gangnam every weekend. Without a doubt, it's the best place to be unless you are like a student or something. Then maybe Hongdae is good.

Usually, I just shop and meet friends for dinner and drinks after. If I arrive early, I walk up and down the main street to check it out.

Today when I came out of the subway, I noticed a Kpop poster. These posters are not advertisements for movies or shows. They are paid for by fans usually. It is really common to wish the idols a happy birthday or something. Actually, it annoys some of the haters, but I prefer it to plastic surgery adverts.

This one was unique because of all the post-it notes. It is an idol 101 show where the idols with the most votes and fans will win. Putting a post-it note on the sign means you support them. They have posters of all the members around, but I only saw WooSeok and Toni. Toni had no stickers, I guess that's because he isn't handsome, cool or talented. Actually, I saw pictures of these at other subway stations where they are all together.

If I was a teenager girl (or had no shame), I would run up and put a post-it note on his picture while smiling and giggling. It's quite entertaining to see the idol's fans do this.

Whether or not you like kpop or idols. I think respecting them for being so talented is the right thing to do.

After looking at that I went to Baskin Robbins 31 to have ice cream. This was a special one that was black and my friend wanted to eat it, so I tried it, too. Can you guess the flavor? It is lemon-lime sorbet! Wow, who knows what makes it black.

In Gangnam, there are many plastic surgery clinics. I am in no need of this yet - and it's expensive, so I will pass. I found one called classy. I'm sure they will make any girl or boy pretty. I guess most idols like this. Also, there are so many good looking people in Gangnam and a lot of clinics so I guess it is THE place to get it done. Whether it is classy or not really depends on what you are getting done I guess.

I think one of the best parts of Gangnam is how clean and beautiful it is compared to many other urban areas I've been to. The cleaners and people just do a really good job at keeping everything looking it's best.
