Vastness of Australia

In one of my previous posts, I presented you a few shots from the city-side and some monumental buildings. In this one, I'll dedicate some space to nature, and all the vastness of space Australia has to offer. I'll just say it, this wasn't hiking nor camping trip, but how I wish it did - still lots of time, and as the weather improves in the upcoming months I'll grab the first opportunity (as soon as I gear up a little bit) and go out there to one of many available trails.

Anyways, experiencing this vastness was completely different from everything I have encountered in Serbia and Europe... where usually you are crunched in a claustrophobic feeling from the massive mountain peaks surrounding you. Here, there are no peaks, just the flat-ish mountain ranges and plateaus. And everything lots of greenery, since we are still near the ocean, I guess.

In the photos above, you see the Blue Mountains - named after the optical "illusion" of being blue when seen from the distance - as you can see on the second photo. Apparently, it has something to do with eucalyptus trees releasing some kind of aromatic oil, which is blue-ish, so... everything turns a cool filter - especially from the city during the sunset - it's just awesome.

Anyways, here is another look to the vastness with a bit of ocean on the side ;)

See you around.
Svemi out.
