Hi I'm Danny! I'm travelling around the world! Follow me here.

In part three we ended up in a village and got to meet the local Tairona children. We now began the final part of our trek through the jungle towards the hidden city.

This part of the trek involved a lot of clambering over rocks as we got closer and closer to the hidden city.
We were following the river all the way up the valley as it meandered higher and higher. This meant that as the trail passed through the river... we would too. Luckily it's the perfect way to cool down in this tropical region of Colombia.

We arrived at our beautiful second camp with the river just out of shot.
By the time we arrived at the camp we were dirty, sweating, and completely exhausted. We chucked our stuff in the hammock and ran straight for the river. Laying in the river was the best way to cool down after a long day. Later on we'd get our food - there's no electricity or gas so everything was cooked on open fires.

The atmosphere was incredible - by candles and torchlight we enjoyed our feast in the middle of an equatorial jungle.
