I was not around in the 70's but have been around long enough to notice the cost of living going up, in this day and age i can not really imagine myself owning my own home and to be honest do not really like the idea of a mortgage (AKA dead pledge).

Just out of curiosity as this is such a diverse platform how would you describe the situation in terms of cost of living where you are?
