How much control do we actually have over our own environments ? How much of reality is collective & how much of it is only our own vibration attracting everything into our personal experience ?
I feel that this is one of the most important questions in life we can ask because it is suppose to be the core of how we create our reality.
I have studied most so called "experts" on the subject from Abraham Hicks, The Secret, Wayne Dyre, Mark Passio's "New Age Bull Sh** conference", Cameron Days "Why I am no longer a light worker" to Nassiem Haramein talking about the Unified field theory, to name a few.
Can a person really "love & light" him or herself out of a war zone ? If someone keeps blissfully meditating alone in that cave with only good vibes will they only get the great stuff ? " As I mentioned in my previous post, a Civil war may break out in my home country of South Africa & I feel that the "super positive & uber spiritual" vibe is not an absolute guarantee of safety.
I used to LOVE Abraham Hicks & movies like "The secret" ! "Just feel great & everything great in life will line up !" Unfortunately, after many years of further investigation I discovered (for myself) that the core of their teachings are probably correct but "the devil is in the details." In the "New Age Bull Sh** conference" it is explained that the first 5 tenets of many new age beliefs parallel the first 5 tenets in Satanism. Such as "only worry about maintaining your own vibration - dont worry so much about others." " Only keep your eyes on the prize & not whats going on around you... avoid looking at those who will "taint your good vibe. "
I personally feel that Buddha gives some of the best teachings. His teachings do not encourage people to ignore & deny their pain... but to transcend pain by feeling it & thereby processing & honoring it. I have found many people in the New Age movement to be quite polarized & fake (pretending they have no shadow) but, in my opinion, Buddha offers more authentic & integrated techniques of transcending hardship.
This is one of my earlier oil paintings. "The Eye of the Storm. - Remaining centered amongst chaos." - a reminder to myself that the power does come from within when things go awry but not to get too fluffy & ignorant about it.
