New Year, New Hairstyle - Chopping Off My Hair

Yesterday I went to my friend's place. We had coffee, some delicious pastry she made, then we talked and ended up watching Titanic on TV. Maybe we shared a tear or two but let's just skip that part. My friend's sister is a hairdresser and last couple of weeks we were already talking about her giving me a haircut but our timing was off. So last evening, when she came home from work, we tought it would be a great opportunity to make our plan happen.

I already had an idea and vision of how I want my hair to look like, I also had a photo saved on my phone as an example so we just went for it. My hair was pretty long and unfortunately we didn't took any before photos. But I managed to find some photos taken in October and November as the reference.

I got so bored of this hairstyle and I couldn't wait to chop off my hair! Now I feel like a brand new person and I have zero regrets! I also feel a lot lighter and fresh, haha - I guess only people who cut off a big chunk of hair know this feeling. Another great thing is that now it will take me way less time to wash and dry my hair, which is always time consuming, especially in the winter.

This is also the shortest my hair was in the past 19-20 years which is insane! Even though I think you don't need New Year's or any other "special" date to make a change, internal or external, I do get caught in that "new year, new me" spirit this time of the year and I'm glad to enter 2019. a little bit different.
