Atlas Shrugged

WARNING, if you suffer from vertigo you may not want to scroll down and see the images, as I know these looking up shots can cause a sensation of Vertigo

I thought it was time for another looking up post, it is a tag started by @melinda0100 and @pixelfan if I remember correctly, and for this post I am at the Rockefeller Centre and focusing on the Statue of Atlas, Starting with looking up slightly and then moving to looking right up :)

I cannot pass by this statue without getting some shots of it it seems, and I do like it from this angle with St Patricks Cathedral in the background, my favorite anlge to get shots of it.

The statue was created by Lee Lawrie back in 1937, Atlas himself stands 15 Fete Tall ( 4.6M) and the whole statue itself is 45 Feet ( 14 M) tall, making such an impressive sight, and what he has on his shoulders is called the Celestial Vault and the North South Axis of the Sphere points to the North Star from its position.

And her we are looking right up from behind the Statue

And as for the title, I remember reading the book and watching the TV series Atlas Shrugged and would recommend it for anyone looking for a good book or series
