Hoverflies (Syrphidae) / Schwebfliege

In addition to the bee, a second animal has been photographed, a hoverfly. Its mimicry fits almost exactly to the bee in the foreground. But the flight behavior is then very different. The bee plumps into the flower while the hoverfly loosely and gently settles on the flower.

Neben der Biene hat sich noch ein Tier ablichten lassen, eine Schwebfliege. Dessen Mimikry passt so ziemlich genau zur Biene im Vordergrund. Aber das Flugverhalten ist dann doch sehr unterschiedlich. Die Biene plummst in die Blüte hinein während die Schwebfliege ganz langsam anschwebt und sich zart auf der Blume niederlässt.
