Hello #MarketFriday Lovers,
For this week, because I am here at Davao City, the hometown of durian, I will share with you our first durian indulgence in our week-long trip.
This will just be a short post since I am currently on travel.
But before that, I'd like to spread LOVE for everyone.
We stopped in a small fruit stall in the outskirt of the city where we saw plenty of durian. Stalls outside the city are mostly less expensive than those that are in the city proper. Usually it's because vendors sell their own produce. So they sell it cheaper than the others.
And our hypothesis proved true. The durian only costs P20 ($0.40) a kilo! Can you believe that? So we have all the reason to devour durian to our heart's content.
We finished quite a lot, actually plenty.
As if not enough, we also indulge over marang fruit. Marang is an exotic oblong-shaped fruit with soft spine. And it is super sweet as it can be.
Our little one enjoyed it as much as we do.
We also bought with us some rambutan, mangosteen and lansones--all native to Davao's rich soil.
This has been our fruit feast for #MarketFriday, by the generous and kind Denise (@dswigle).
Thank you for feasting with me,
Ging
