Outdoor Market ~ #marketfriday initiated by @dswigle
Supermarket stores are boring, they look all the same, it always feels like a burden trudging around planning food or clothing being jostled around by too many people in one place.
Entrance has been altered since last visit, painting murals on walls must be becoming the thing to do with boring cement walls, what do you think?
Walking through the pet store your wind your way down through this permanent store. Beyond some permanent stores, changes become evident going into the outdoor market temporary stores
Tasty homemade treats are offered along with many different fascinating little stores. Stalls do vary from one visit to the next changing with seasonal produce on offer or vendors selling at different markets throughout the province.
Situated on top is the permanent outdoor restaurant called "The Terrace", below is where the temporary stores are filled to capacity.
Wood cut to desired length, this is a permanent site where you can look for the right grain of wood to build wooden tables and chairs, fences, bird feeders, dog kennels, talented people who love to work with wood spend hours finding that right texture for next project planned. We have seen some magnificent pieces of driftwood sold to build stunning coffee tables.
Partially covered by a bright red tarpaulin cover for shade from the bright sun, you can relax and enjoy what is on offer on the day.
Sea shells used for clocks, mirrors along with a variety of ornaments, being under the red tarpaulin I played around with the colours, some more fun....
Swinging around down into the lower level hand crafts are on display, weaved to make laundry baskets, mats, dog baskets.
Last visit this was a children's play area, now a beer garden I will have to plan a later visit to enjoy an afternoon beer soon!
The play ground for children is now adjacent to the beer garden making it very convenient for men to watch the children while wives go off to spend the money....
Going through the gardens on a previous path (shown in previous post) you land up after a pleasant walk along the little stream back in the nursery.
Here you can see the restaurant from another angle under the thatch roofing, across some of the plants on sale in this large outdoor nursery.
Getting into the weekend mood with so many posts on Friday's here is one for @kalemandra #fridayskyblue flower photo taken in my garden after rains.
Who said rain, we have forgotten what that wet stuff looks like, everything is dry and dusty outside at the moment!
Now I could not do one without the other #featheredfriday with @melinda010100 is never forgotten, not enough time to support all our wonderful friends!
Brown-hooded kingfisher, a solid beak for finding those insects, ever present everywhere along our coastline.
Before we rush off into the weekend, wishing you a good one wherever you go take a camera along with you, you never know what you will see around the next corner.
