Preserving Records vs. Preserving Your Wealth With Mene

A friend of a friend's dad decided he was going to give away a bunch of records. So naturally I was SUPER excited at the thought of digging through crate after crate filled with classic albums.

BUT, of course there was a small catch. He wanted all his classic vinyl converted to digital format, without losing sound quality. So without hesitation we quickly got started:

The process of converting old records to digital and preserving their sound is pretty cool and straightforward. All you have to do is play it! For this one we used Ammonia Avenue by The Alan Parsons Project:

We connected it to our computer as seen to the left (which you can't really see):

Then hit play on both the record player and Audacity:

And that's it! Once the album is finished you'll have the digital format and it sounds REALLY good. Your beloved music has been preserved :)
