This is an art display at Esplanade - Theatres by the Bay which I saw on Sunday. I was heading to some music event when I saw this and stopped to take this photo.
Each of these represent a piece in the Chinese chess which has the same number of pieces as International Chess. One of the key differences is there is no queen in the Chinese chess.
