Having a two year old has definitely impacted the kind of songs I write lately. Lots more construction equipment, dinosaurs and undersea creatures finding their way into my music :)
An Excavator Does Not Cry - Carl Nash
Up in the gravel pits on the edge of nowhere
You're all by yourself - there's nobody there
Up in the gravel pits on the edge of nowhere
There's nothing between the rocks and the air
A dump truck dumps the dirt (x2)
No you can't really say if a dump truck hurts
or if a dump truck doubts its worth
An excavator does not cry (x2)
Excavator digs the hole and it don't ask why
an excavator does not cry
[Up in the gravel pits on the edge of nowhere
You're all by yourself - there's nobody there
Up in the gravel pits on the edge of nowhere
There's nothing between the rocks and the air] x2
