This challenge, started by @jokossita here, is a great incentive to dig into those dusty old memories. Music can have powerful associations to a life long forgotten - hopefully more good than not.
Day 23
A song that you cannot stand to listen to
This was another easy pick. I really can't pinpoint why, but this song has always given me the willies - especially hearing it played on the radio during the late night. A haunting lament, of sorts.
So what song did I choose? Nights In White Satin by The Moody Blues

From the song's Wikipedia page, the composer Justin Hayward says:
"It was just another song I was writing and I thought it was very powerful. It was a very personal song and every note, every word in it means something to me and I found that a lot of other people have felt that very same way about it."

On the band's Wikipedia page talks of its musical legacy:
The Moody Blues' "rich symphonic sound" influenced groups such as Yes, Genesis, the Electric Light Orchestra and Deep Purple. They also helped make synthesizers and philosophy "part of the rock mainstream"
Fun fact: I've always thought the song title was Knights in White Satin, and had a mental picture of bygone ages accordingly.
This is the list from which the music challenge is based off of. I will be modifying some of the questions if more fitting.

Come along on this musical journey with me.
