Spoilt for choice as I looked through my bookmarks today - I grabbed this one because I love my final selection of the day... (which is the one that is responsible for this post.)
First up... the Original
If I Had You - by Adam Lambert
I had to look up Adam Lambert as I watched this one as he clearly has some very 80s influences, despite the fact he wasn't born until the 90s. The fact that he is heavily inspired by Queen is no surprise at all. Very good music, interesting video as well. Let's see how others do...
If I Had You - presented by Cavelle-Nell Romeo
This is a very pleasant cover. It's a different style, but her vocals are good and I would want to hear more of her work from this.
If I Had You - presented by The Vampire Lestat and NyxRising Industries
Okay, not strictly a cover, but I thought the video was cute and worked quite well with the song.
On to the parodies
If I ADD You - by MF Arts
Okay... I was blown away by this parody. The video was very true to the original - within the context of the parody. Very well done. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
Today's WTF selection!
Gunna Get You - by The Accident Part 2 and 5210 Studios
The vocals may not be the strongest (okay, the guy could use some lessons), but the voice is strangely in character with this very strange video. I didn't want to like it, but I couldn't turn it off! I kept wanting to find out what the ninja-like guy was going to do next! Worth a watch!
Grand Finale!
Pirates of the Caribbean Parody - by The Hillywood Show!
What can I say? This is the Hillywood Show, after all! Extremely well done parody showing one of our favorite pirates and a very interesting (and characteristic) twist on this great song. As is typical for these ladies, they've included a number of elements of the original music video plus genuine elements from the movies all together in one video. (I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison, but I didn't find one today.)
That's it for today! I hope you had as much fun as I did!
As usual, I'm simply sharing YouTube videos on a theme, all rights remain with the original.
