Hey, it's me VenomnymouS, your tour guide! I'm here to show you my city through my perspective. A perspective of a antisocial misfit. So with that said let's do this!
Welcome to Edmonton!
In my city I like to join others from time to time in a visit of the legislature building to shout stuff at it. e.g. "STUPID BUILDING!" " YOU SMELL OF LIES AND MONEY!"
In my city I like to protest bills that are designed to take away our freedoms 'tee hee'
In my city I show a little support for the indigenous folk around these parts.
In my city I can rock a mask and a neck beard and people just have to accept it.
In my city people get together to protest the poisons put into our food.
In my city we try to save the bees. I saved this big bee. See?
In my city I like to play cars and VROOM! My way through the roads downtown.
In my city I like to stand in front of city hall and with it's pyramid symbolism.
In my city I like to help my fellow masked community to hold flags in front of government buildings.
In my city I like to help amassed dissidents to have a safe and organized march.
In my city I co-hosted an event in the town square.

Alright that's enough activist stuff! Here's some other stuff I do in my city.
Also does anyone else think that "In my city" is starting to sound like Yakov Smirnov's "In Russia" gag?
In my city I like to secretly grow food where I don't have permission to.

In my city I also like to grow food in my yard.
In my city I like to dress my cat up like a James Bond character.
And take pictures of the sky when it's looks unique.
In my city you can encounter (rarely) a giant water bug A.K.A "toe biter". They are known for having a very painful bite and can fly.
But as you can see they are not so scary. You have to agitate the creature to get bit.
In my city I like to build a vermicomposting bin. I learned how to build one on YouTube. But it turns out my city encourages this practice and even provides a lot of useful info on how to vermicompost.
Good job little wrigglers!
In my city we go for walks in the freezing cold for fun!
The view ain't so bad either!

In my city we shake trees to wake them up.
And skate freely as we please.

Now for a few facts about my city.
1. We are home to the biggest or was the biggest mall in the world. The West Edmonton Mall
2. Edmonton was where Wayne Gretzky blew the fuck up and helped the Edmonton Oilers win like 5 Stanley cups.
3. Edmonton's former slogan was "City Of Campions" for many many years. Then they spent like 80 grand to come up with a new slogan. Then they decided to keep it the same. Then they just removed the slogan completely a couple years later. We currently have no slogan.
4. There are over 90 community gardens around the city. And this summer coming the city is leasing a bunch of small sections of unused land throughout the city for people to grow food. The wife and I still haven't decided if we want to grab up some of that space to grow in.
5. The city has been experimenting with beekeeping and chicken husbandry projects as well. Issuing out leases for a select amount of citizens.
I think that's it. There's probably more stuff but "that'll do pig that'll do."
I'm not super in to public events but there are lots that happen in my city all year. I'm sure they are probably good fun for your average folk. But I'm not average. I'd rather spend my time growing food and researching various issues in this crazy world we live in and share my findings here online (mostly on steemit.)
Hope you enjoyed the tour, because I can't refund your time back to you. SORRY! But it's true.
