I take a walk outside and life is at it's peak, the trees are green, their leaves blowing softly in the wind, whilst the flowers that are flourishing, dance their own song closer to the ground. I am surrounded by the song of birds as they go about their daily chores, a sound that opens my heart up to the wonder that circles round me.

The pomegranate tree is bursting with flowers, that are slowly taking the shape of fruit, playfully teasing me of what has yet to come. I can almost taste their juice as I look longingly at them. The abundance of nature is so evident on these days, a feeling of wholeness washes over me as I take a few moments under the rays of the sun, before it becomes too hot and I retreat to the shade of one of the majestic Olive Tree's.

As I reflect on my outer surroundings, so now I begin to reflect inwards.

Today is the Summer Solstice, just as nature is at it's peak so too are we. We are at the peak of our own expressive and creative selves. Solstice means 'Standing Still' and today calls on us to connect with this amazing turning point in the earth's yearly cycle, by taking the time to reflect on and acknowledge who we are and where we have come from.

To look back over the last 6 months of our lives and bear witness to our achievements and failures. To honour them and learn from them. To accept who we are, so that just as all in nature feels wholesome, so too, do we. Our own life a reflection of the natural world around us.

It is so important to acknowledge these cycles, these changes, for we are a part of nature and once we re-connect, then we begin to feel more whole. Bringing together the many pieces of ourselves. Take the time today to celebrate who you are and who you wish to become. Make your intentions, surround yourself with love and healing and allow yourself to blossom like the trees and flowers that encircle us.

Today is the longest day of the year, the shortest night and after this the days will grow shorter. The darkest begins to come more into play, this is the time of the year where we are being called more inwards. All of our achievements will continue to grow within, bringing more awareness and strength to all that we have manifested. Allowing us to connect more with our inner self, making us whole.

Take the time to express who you are, be it through music, photography, writing, dance or song. We are all creators and today is about losing ourselves in our creations. It is about letting go and having fun, celebrating what it is, that we bring to the world.
