This was an amazing day, we started with a whale watching tour on a huge vessel. I thought I would be anxious but I wasn't even slightly being nearly a small ferry. We seen 2 pods of killer whales and what I think the lady said was a menkie whale, either way we saw a bunch of whales. We ended up in US waters where there was a "bait bomb" a congregation of bait fish with bird swarming on the carcass. Toured past Bird Island which down wind stinks like a sun of a gun. Ended up at Butchart Gardens after about 3 1/2 hours on the water, I was feeling bleached at this point. We walked around the gardens got as many shots as we could before heading for the bus, we only had about 2 hours before the tour bus and explored about 60%. We have been here before but not since I started taking pictures and vlogging, Mel is realizing how much longer it can take to fully appreciate things with a lens. Lots of amazing works of art, and to think it was all a project started to hide an old quarry. Back at the waterfront downtown we listened to a live band from the road, the sound was echoing off the dock where they were playing from and it was quite loud. Found our car after walking the wrong way at first and headed home for dinner from Tropical Thai.
This is my first Quik edit with the software for GoPro, it really was fairly quik with a very neat effect.
