For all the companies that operate online, the most complicated part of the delivery is what they call the "last mile", that is, the final home delivery.

To remedy this it seems that drones may be the ideal solution.

UPS has just become the first American company, which the Federal Aviation Agency authorizes to operate a commercial drone fleet.

During the pilot project, UPS delivered more than 1,100 medical samples to a hospital in North Carolina, using drones that operated autonomously.

This will enable the courier agency to use them in the delivery of goods throughout the country, integrating safely into the airspace.
