I can see that the mainstream media is all over the story of Trump phoning the grieving widow of Army Sgt. La David Johnson and allegedly telling her that 'I guess he knew what he signed up for'. Today it has been alleged that the dead man's mother confirmed that she heard him disrespect her son, even though Trump today is openly denying that he said what is being claimed...
Is Trump now digging himself an even deeper hole? Now he is basically calling the dead man's mother a liar - and why would she lie?
The Washington Post reports that the Mother of the dead soldier told them directly that “President Trump did disrespect my son and my daughter and also me and my husband,” yet Trump tweeted that:
Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!
Florida Congresswoman, Frederica Wilson, says she was in the funeral limousine with the grieving family and overheard the whole conversation - she agrees with the statements made by the man's mother that Trump was effectively cold and heartless in his communication with her.
‘He didn’t even remember his name.’ That’s the hurting part.”
So we have a situation where Trump is calling both of these women liars AND claiming to have evidence that they are liars - yet White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the president had not taped the conversation.
Trump's own biographer publicly warned that Trump has the memory of a goldfish and lies habitually
I wrote in my ongoing whistleblower series how Donald Trump's own biographer and author of the book 'The Art of the Deal' was so terrified by the prospect of Trump becoming President and basically apologetic for lying about Trump's character in the biography (for money) that he openly admitted mis-representing Trump in an attempt to stop people voting for him.
Tony Schwartz stated that he spent months listening in on Trump's business calls and literally described him as having almost no attention span, an inability to recall details and basically a variety of psychological dysfunctions that amount to narcissism and massive levels of denials of various kinds.
For these reasons, it should be no surprise that Trump has basically been publicly check mated by his own mind. He can either admit he made a mistake and was callous - or he can continue to claim the others around him are lying. If he has evidence, then it will be interesting to hear/see it - but I won't hold my breath for that to occur!
Why do I care about all this? I choose to live and if there are people 'in charge' of directing massive war machines and armies who are obviously out of integrity and out of balance, then the least I can do for humanity is to keep an eye on them enough to highlight their real condition in the vein hope that someone somewhere will take notice and not give them any more support. :/
