COVID-19 News, Good and Bad

Over the weekend we have seen numbers of cases of COVID-19 exponentially rise in diverse and new epicenters such as South Korea, Italy, and Iran. Dr. John Campbell has produced a video in which he discusses these events, and states in his opinion the WHO should immediately declare a pandemic and initiate preparations that declaration triggers.

Edit: I forgot I wanted to include this pic I found absolutely compelling.

Strangely, the Italian epicenter was predicted weeks ago by a 4chan larper.

In addition to Swine Flu killing up to 3/4 of the pigs in China, and Bird Flus of two different strains similarly decimating both chickens and ducks in China at the same time as the devastating quarantines for COVID-19, now a plague of locusts has descended, eradicating crops wherever it goes. It is unimaginable devastation that is causing unimaginable suffering to the people of China.

In the midst of horror beyond my ken, China has undertaken trials of medicines that showed promise during compassionate use. Some trials have produced medications that are effective combating COVID-19. Chloroquine and favilavir have been proven effective in human trials, and remdesivir is strongly recommended by the WHO to be the subject of human trials now, having proved efficacy in animal trials.

Let's hope this good news proves to outweigh the bad.
