A fairly new social media site called Gab.ai has been gaining alot of interest lately for its stance on free speech on the web. Gab.ai creator started because he was sick of other social media sites like Facebook and Twitter censoring and banning users and posts that did not follow their world views.
Gab.ai has had it's fair share of flac since starting up, because it mostly has so called right leaning users, the Apple store first refused to host their App making it very difficult. Also they are tied up in a lawsuit with Google for similar reasons with Google holding them back.
Now in the latest attack on Gab.ai and free speech, Gabs domain register Asia Registry located in Australia has threatened to seize Gab.ai in 5 days
If Gab.ai fails to transfer it's domain name out of the companies Registery. This just another example of freedom of speech being squashed...more 1984 coming to fruition..
