Hello,
This week might be the week where I wrote the most about Steem.
Why? Well because today comes another post.
I've stumbled upon @whatsup's post on new and old steem.
In her posts she asks to make a comparison between old and new Steem, something like a beverage company did sometime ago in the US as a marketing campaign.
So here is my take on it. I will put in some lines as I'm not that into memes or stuff like that.
Old Steem:
- big and slow
- abusive
- single market focused
- counterintuitive
- everything was done by a single company
New Steem:
- fast and smaller (MIRA)
- multimarket focus (not only seen as a blogging platform but also opens eyes on other applications)
- intuitive (different frontends beside the standard steemit.com one)
- different people work on different projects.
Is it perfect? No.
Will HF21 change something? Not much, maybe scare some authors, but in the end they get more than posting on other sites.
For sure there will be less interaction as commenting will not be anymore rewarded.
We are on a good way as the Steem is not anymore seen as Steem Inc. If it would be, the price would be even lower as the new Head or Steem Inc did not buy a single Steem. At least to show commitment and passion for her own work.
I would like to see that the consensus witnesses become more critical and analyse the changes on the test network. Also a test model on behaviour would be interesting to see.
So I see the changes done in the past, mostly by the community are on a good track. Let's see what the future brings.
How do you see it?
