Great Minds,
Today I want to share my opinion and facts about the love of money, how it has caused many to lose focus and in most cases lead to death. What we should do or not do to maintain Godly principles and retain our worth and good reputation in this world of riches and poverty.

The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evils, (1Tim. 6: 10). Indeed this is an indisputable facts. The love of money can push a man to do what he once professed not to do. It can cause a man to commit the most wicked atrocities without looking back. Money has a way of showing who we truly are. It also has a way of revealing what matters to a person. Money can make you bent rules and go against treasured values.

Let ask ourselves, are these true to us considering the way we live. I mean how about you, what will you do for the right price?. Perhaps you could not do it because the price is not worth it from your own judgement. The love of money depletes self worth. Some people can kill if certain amount of money is involved. Money can make a man lie against his very best friend. Some can ignore friends and family just to acquire money. The love of money can make a young lady go into prostitution etc.

It is a fact that a lot are suffering and living in abject poverty and one can say that such has a high propensity to be corrupt when money and riches are factors. It also would be thought that rich people will most likely be better in terms of money. But statistics would prove otherwise, in fact rich people do more evil to maintain their riches and be richer. The more you have money, the more you desire to have more and the more you are drifted away from the right. If you are not contented with what you have you fall prey to every lure to get more and consequently lose your worth and commit evil. The statement "the love of money is the root of all evils" cut across board. It is assumed that it takes the right price. Everyone has a price, if the right price is offered, one will forget his values, his focus and even his faith. Are you one of those, how much is your worth, are you purchasable, what is your price.
You can dare to be different. Yes you can remain clean and be who you are without compromising your values and worth. You can hold on to the right principles you once professed. You can stand for the good and keep the faith no matter the amount of money involved. Continue to be yourself and trust God and surely you will be successful. Good life and a happy living is not dependent on how much you have. Report has it that ordinary people are more happy than rich ones. The more you find contentment in what you have the happier you will be and the more likely you resist the urge to do wrong. Wealth has always been a temptation to man.
This reminds me of a pool by a radio station asking people "With one billion naira will you deny your faith? " do you know that 90% actually answered in the affirmative, some even went further to said that they can do it with 10 million naira. That is how far the love of money can push a man. We have to be careful not to be victim of this money driven life. Remember life is not all about money, you can have money and be miserable in life. Some pursued money all their lives without even enjoying it.
Reputation matters, life of value is worth more than gold. There is a popular saying " Good name is better than Riches" this is indeed not far from the truth.
Can you ask yourself "What is my worth"?
