Hello again artists!
Maybe you don't know it, but I studied one year of painting in a high school. I wanted to be a plastic artist in a moment of my life, but I decided to sing and make music. But, as you know, I'm very passionate with every presentation of art, and in this occasion, I'm trying to practice to make more draws of the artists and singers I love. In this drawing, Lana del Rey.
I use to be careful with the shadows and the illumination because as an amateur photographer, it's something that I notice everytime. One of my worries about Lana is that the original photo looks very flat, and other problem I had to deal with is that the original photo was in black and white. What a problem! So, I improvised and wanted to imagine some colors of her face.
The most difficult parts of her face: The lips (the white parts of course, the highlights in the lips) and her eyes. I though that her nose would be more difficult, but I think that it's okay. I'm trying to practice the hair forms and illuminations to make it more realistic, so I'm okay with her hair in this drawing!
