My last hurdle after a long day Bangkok Thailand

ntopaz-image-0I am writing this post from Bangkok Thailand! WooHoo! I had no trouble at any immigration checkpoint or any place along the way. I will write a longer post tomorrow, but right now I just feel huge relief and exhaustion.

In this photo you see the last few flights of stairs I had to carry my suitcase down (or up). It's the exit at the Pho Nimit BTS Station which only has escalators going up. They like you to get your exercise in Thailand and rarely have "down" escalators anywhere.

My suitcase weighs 14 kilos and this is not heavy for most people. but when you are old, arthritic, tired and sore, 14 kilos might as well be one ton. Let's not even talk about the heavy bag hanging off my shoulder at the same time.

My hostel was two short easy blocks after I got down the stairs. You see the life-saving 711 to the left. Unlike Malaysia where 711 is expensive and not a good place to shop, in Thailand it is the place to go for many things, and I already got 3 packs of sunflower seeds I have been missing so much.

There were a few food vendors but I am not too hungry now and will go earlier tomorrow. I also saw quite a few places to eat that were closed at 10 pm. So I think I will be able to stay put for all I need on this trip.

I seem to be alone in a 10 bed hostel room with very cold AC. The mattress is possibly made of wood, but it will not bother me tonight. This is home sweet home for 5 nights, and I will make the best of all I can.

I used my HMNOTE 1LTE mobile phone for this photo.

I'm using @ntopaz for this post - one our high paying and top ranked dApps on STEEM. It is a good place to post your visual arts posts, so give it a try.
