Esta canción fue compuesta en 1973, año en el que el autor, Jim Croce, falleciera en un trágico accidente de avión. Lamentablemente, alcanzó la fama un año después, en 1974 y fue lanzada en el disco "Jim Croce", junto con I had to say I love you in a song (Te tuve que decir te amo en una canción), I got a Name (Conseguí ser alguien) y Recently (Recientemente), todas composiciones de Jim Croce.
Es una versión basada en la propuesta hecha por
Ricardo Arjona, donde me acompaña mi amigo Rodolfo Rincón, gran guitarrista y uno de los mejores alumnos de mi hermano @mayneth.
