If you haven't heard of PalNet it is a new project by Minnow Support to try a new distribution and community approach to Steem powered by Steem-Engine.
They are airdropping PALCoin to active Steem users based on your Steem Power (it is capped to 2,500 tokens max).
How to claim your airdrop
Login to Steem-Engine and look in the left side of your wallet. There should be a blue logo that looks like this:
If you see that symbol, you have PALCoins you can claim.
You can then head over to https://palnet.io and use it just as you would Steemit.com. All posts created here still go on the Steem blockchain but allow you to earn PAL tokens.
You can then stake them to gain influence (like Steem Power) on PalNet
