My Entry for the Pay-it-Forward Curation Contest - Week 52

First of all: this contest by @pifc is available for anyone to join until midnight Saturday: @pifc/1-year-anniversary-week-52-pay-it-forward-curation-contest. The rules this week are to feature someone you have featured before ... since I just got on board last week, allow me to present you with MORE great content from .... (drumroll, please) ...

Selection 1: @grandiosae

This poem was DEEP, so deep I had to read it a few times, and the more I read it, the deeper it got. At first I thought it was a poem JUST about how we put so much focus on gathering material things and neglect the true wealth in life -- health, family, and spiritual connections. I was given this impression by the very first stanza, a poetic summary of the parable of the rich fool of the Bible, who delighted in all he had laid up, only to be told by God that he would have to give an account for his bankrupt SOUL that very night because he would die and leave all the material goods to others! That's where this poem STARTS! There is a massive plot twist in it too -- I NEVER would have guessed where this poem ends up, although I overlooked an equally massive visual clue because I was so drawn into the first stanza of the poem! 'Nuff said! Check it out for yourself!

And, a new blogger to feature (since the one I featured before doesn't have 200 words this time... waaaaaaah!):

Selection 2: @conscmovement

I love journey stories -- both what the journey is and the journey behind the journey! Thus, this backpacker's honest exposition about his deepest fears about backpacking really intrigued me. There are some things you would expect -- the challenges of traveling to foreign countries and entrusting one's life to strangers, for example. There are bunch of things you wouldn't expect, like the effect this kind of journey has on those you care about and want to have care about you back at home. This honest account will resonate with anyone that is on a significant journey in their lives ... backpack optional!
