My Entry for the Pay-it-Forward Curation Contest - Week 58

source

Greetings! It is yet another Pay It Forward Curation Contest and I am happy to participate yet again in this wonderful endeavor. This contest is promoted by @darkhorse and aims to promote undervalued posts made by steemians who deserve the needed acknowledgment and recognition in the steem community. This is also one way to promote interaction and engagement among the members of this community on which I have an attachment already.

The contest has now added and revised some "rules" and let me share my opinion about it. The first thing is they now emphasized the posts to be curated are really undervalued or posts that have less than a dollar value during the time of the feature. I think it is fair enough, knowing that some authors have less exposure even though their works are truly amazing. Thus, they have no upvotes at all. This will give them a chance to be featured, aside from those who have established networks which gives them favored chance in the coming days.

The next change is, from authors with level 55 reputation and below, we can now curate posts from authors with reputation up to level 65. This will give the participants of the curation contest, a wide selection of authors. I think it will be much easier for us to scout hidden talents in the feed. We are also aware that many of the authors who have a reputation of above level 55 are not yet exposed that much in the steem community and it will be their time again to be motivated in making their posts much better, if they want to be featured and earn some for their post.

Ultimately and I think everyone will agree, that the curated post must be upvoted and replied with a comment by the one who curated it. I think it is really fair enough since this will give the author's post an extra boost. We are considering making an exposure for them and the aim is to give them some credits, so why on earth we would not give a little from our part? Spending some voting power and RC's I think are already a wonderful gift that we can offer to them aside from featuring them, after all, it is because of them that we are able to participate in the curation.

And now, for my selections for the week, kindly check them out below:

The Swing of Spring Things
by @deeanndmathews

I am easily fascinated by talented people and I can't deny that @deeanndmathews is one talented lady. She is a composer-arranger and an author as well. By featuring her, I think it will be of great help to her. By this, the community will be able to know more of her talents. A good and skillful artist who deserves to be given with some love. :-)

East Javanese Dish near Jakarta
by @devyleona

I am seeing her post for a while now and she hails from Indonesia. Most of her post is about authentic Indonesian cuisine, as she describes it and including what she thinks about it. It is like a food traveling for her. She features food which originates from the different part of her country. With these, she would be able to showcase their culture through these dishes and I think it is indeed a good thing. With our help, as fellow authors, we can give her credits she deserves.

That's all guys and I do hope that you can spare some of your time for these two talented authors. I do hope they win this week's PIFC. Kindly share your thoughts about them as well. Onto to the next contest week and I am happy to be a part of this wonderful activity.
