PH remittance growth modest increase

Overseas Filipino Workers remittances has slightly moved, 1.5% from the same month last year. This was due to slower global economic outlook among major trading partners of the country. It was also partially attributed to the period of data was conducted. At this time of the season, it is graduation month of most students. Families of OFW spend more than usual. Some even come home for celebration. Consumer spending is expected to increase thru the month of June, in time for school year opening. As always, the highest period of the year will be on December. Filipinos always have special keen on celebration especially on Christmas.
