When I landed in Canada(April) it was still winter, kind of an extended one. Everyone said it was already time for spring but the winter never seemed to end this time.
And in that case, I also got a chance to witnessed my first ever snowfall and snow walk 😁.
It was only then I realised that there are various kind of snowfall. The one which I saw in late April was called as 'sleet' which is a mix of rain and snow and the dangerous one because it makes the roads and footpaths slippery. Never mind, I am about to experience some actual snow fall soon.
Well, spring in Canada is an opportunity to click some vibrant colourful photos. It is time for long bright days with the occational drizzle and sometimes storms. Where I came from, I only had to deal with rains and I never knew it rained in Canada too. 😁
Canadian spring and summer is full of happening outdoor events and festival. It is said you should never miss a day to go out and enjoy the sun while it is there. Later on you have to cope up with the dark, boring cold winter days.
One of the popular event here is the annual Cherry Blossom Festival which occurs in the month of April-May. Cherry blossom trees also known as Sakura trees are famous for their beautiful pink and white blooms which last for only about a week or two. Their homeland is Japan. And there is a history behind how these trees reached Canada. They were gifted by the Japanese ambassador as a thank you towards accepting refugees during second World War.

Even the slightest rain can damage the petals and flowers and to my horror it rained the night before we decided to go 😠. Everyone said its already late and they make not stay until weekend. Happens with me all the time so we decided to go anyways. And much to our delight it was still there and ended with a nice stroll along the length and breadth of the park. It was a bit chilly but never mind , what a feast it was to the eyes 😁 They were so beautiful. The park was filled with all kinds of people ~ photographers , kids , kissing couples , dogs , elderly peoples and then me and @sajinsv 😁
The park also has a pond full of floating ducks .
It was an evening well spent.
So thats it ✋
