Last Thursday, after taking pictures of the God of Wealth outside the library, I passed this tentage setup outside. Some men are doing work. Yes, I know what this is for. There are setting up a shop for selling Chinese New Year decoration. In the past, many people go to Chinatown to get the decoration. In recent years, the market has come to us.

🎶Meanwhile, some music for you to enjoy as you read. This piece is part of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, particular the last of the 4 violin concertos, called Winter.

I don’t know when they completed the set up and started doing business but I saw they were doing business on Sunday but it was raining in the night and I didn’t go near. Out to meet my lady for dinner yesterday and I took a couple quick shots. Something different this year. They have some floral decorations which I didn’t see last year.

Then there are the usual stuff including the couplets. One difference is, this shop will close a couple of day before the Chinese New Year whereas in Chinatown, they will be opened until the eve till late past midnight..
