I’ve spent the last week in Belgrade Serbia roaming around this beautiful city. Something that I was really pushing myself to try while I was here was street photography. It’s not something I’ve ever done.. and quite frankly I just don’t take photos of people normally. Not sure why.. I just seem to focus on small details in nature etc, and humans were just seen as something that was getting in the way 😬
But, the last few months I have been following a certain street photographer and noticed something... those beautiful moments I look for in the unseen beauty in nature? Yeah, they exist in my fellow humans as well.. crazy I know, but finding the stunning beauty in a simple moment is really quite poetic. Those moments that would normally just pass us by.. capturing them to display that hidden beauty within.
So, since I was in the perfect city for it.. I decided to give it a try. I’m on a mission to step outside my comfort zone (year of firsts) and this is just another way to do just that. While it did take me a few days to actually build up the courage to take a totally candid photo of a stranger without their permission.. I ended up at least getting a few.
While I don’t think they are anything amazing.. I wanted to document them here.. as a blockchain record of that time I jumped out of my comfort zone and did something crazy. Plus, they will be nice to look back on as I continue to grow and improve in my photography journey...
Much Love,
Justine
