Cycling in the mountains of Fukushima.
With a couple of friends in spring 2011, we cycled down the mountains to a the town of Shin-Shirakawa
Starting from the top of the mountain we make our way down.
There are many windmills in Fukushima
We have to pass many lakes and mountains to get to where we are going.
The water in mountains are crystal clear and very cold, This was taken on the far side of the previous photo.
Some earth quake damage of 2011, buildings like these are scattered all over the county, mostly broken wooden frames and roof tiles everywhere. All the roads become uneven with bumps and dips, with the occasional land slide and fissure.
