I love finding new under-valued Steemians and this contest is a great excuse to find fabulous bloggers whose post aren't getting the attention they deserve. In case you aren't aware, the Pay It Forward Curation Contest is a weekly challenge from @pifc to find bloggers to promote.
If you want to know some of the things I look for when curating for Pay-it-Forward, please check out this article on How to Get Curated.
Here are this week's selections - reputation 55 or under.
Selection #1 - @dansgardening (rep 48)
Winter Sowing Update - The Lettuce, Kale and Brussels Sprouts Have Sprouted!
If you're like me and have often struggled to grow your own kale, brussels sprouts or similar vegetables, this is an essential read. This method is simple, inexpensive and works with the natural design of these plants to make it possible to grow all the plants you will need this year!
At the time of posting, this had an anticipated payout of 0.07 STU. It deserves quite a lot more.
Selection #2 - @lontongzombie (rep 45)
Red Radishes Planted In Pot With Easy Way To Do At Home
Radishes are such an easy plant to grow at home. This blogger harvested these home-grown radishes from a pot. This is an inspiring post encouraging all of us to grow a little more of our own food.
At the time of posting, this had an anticipated payout of 0.11 STU. I think it needs more, don't you?
Flash-Back of the Week
This has proven fun - and is not meant to be part of the contest, just a fun extra. This week, I look back at:
Week 14 - @moderndayhippie (now rep 62)
My Actifit Report Card: March 28 2019
Actifit seems to be keeping a lot of bloggers busy on the platform, so it's a good thing. It got this blogger outside to enjoy blossoms and other signs of spring. I hope it can inspire more of us to get outside - now if our Wyoming snow would go away (and stay away) we can get on to the very important business of spring...
These are my selections for this week. Please visit them and give them some love - even if you don't have voting power to spare, a kind word can make all the difference!
Note: All images remain property of the original poster. I've only used their locations.
Previous weeks
(Please consider entering this contest! If you no longer want to be tagged, let me know and I'll take the @ sign off it. People in bold have been active within the past month.* Designates someone involved with PIFC within the past month.)
Running totals: 58 out of 102 featured bloggers are still active = 56% (updated through week 45)
My personal observations - if you want to stay in the game...
- Don't restrict yourself to a particular niche - contrary to standard blog advice.
- Get involved in at least one community on Discord. Below are three of the communities I'm involved in right now.
- Support others, engage, meet people.
