My Forlorn Soul

From the fitful bouts of my sleep came that soulful tune of Adele's "Hello"
Playing from a radio set. My companion.
Quickly, jolting me up.

The resonance throws me into a reverie.
I plop myself on the sofa and reminisce.
That same sofa where we made our last love.

Our love, most short-lived.
Yet you relive and die everyday in my heart.
In the catacombs of my heart,
I buried you.

The emotions and passion all carnonised.

Do you wish we never met?
Was the love just an illusion?
I ask your image these questions.

My folorn hands hold your image.
Hand -in -hand.
Wishing you had stayed
To fondle my chest and caress my hair.
With those words of All is well baby.

Instead,
All I hear in my heart is a dirge.
I sing to mourn our lost love
Our lost course.

I sing to mourn my forlorn soul
