Sitting On Hill
By A.TMyrie
Sitting on a hill
Looking out alone
I feel the heartache
All the way to bone
Sitting on a hill
Futilely making calls
But everyone is busy
And loneliness remains
My only company
Sitting on a hill
Listening to Avril Lavigne
Asking her maker
To keep head above water
I listen on repeat
Because this cry
Is also in me
Sitting on a hill
Were blue skies are covered
I see houses all around me
But a home of my own
Seems to elude me
Sitting on a hill
All I see is my father
In a casket resting peacefully
But peace as left his daughter
Only sorrow and pain
Seem to reside in my soul
Sitting on a hill
With no one here
I don’t feel embarrassed
As tears wet my cheeks
If this is my proof of love
I will live with it till I’m called home
