Are you playing Splinterlands? If not, you should be! Like many of you, I have heard of this game for months and never took the time to dive in. I thought I'd "missed the boat" so to speak. Thanks to many conversations with @cryptoeater I decided to finally give it a shot. I was hooked immediately and purchased a Max level alpha set pretty much going all in… Once you actually play you understand the potential and awesome community behind it.
About 14 days later through my first season I made it all the way to champion level 2 and was only about 30 points away from champion level 1, finishing 90th overall. Not too shabby! Now, I realize I went very hard getting such a high-level deck, But this is definitely a game of skill and with the right strategies you can easily climb the ranks.
I will be doing a whole series on this and post updates as I battle for the number one position over the next few seasons. Very special thank you to @aggroed @yabapmatt and my good friend @cryptoeater for all the guidance.
There is a whole other element of profitability while playing this game, but that will be another discussion. I think it's very healthy for the dapplications to be played for the sake of having fun, not financial incentives, and this is surely the case here. However, I think acquiring early cards will make you very happy once real adoptions takes over. We are all still very early to the party.
