London is covered by a blanket of grey clouds today, and I like it. Yes, I'm a sunshine guy, but sometimes a nice dull day is what you need to get things done.
I woke up way too early again today, after going to bed a little too late, which means I'm kind of lacking in sleep again today. There is a high chance that I will be taking a little siesta right after typing this :)
I have been been tired, yes, but I haven't been lazing around. Quite the contrary. Today actually is on track to be the most productive day for me this year so far. One thing about me is the ease with which I get distracted. A bright sunny day is one of such distractions. Whenever I have to work indoors, I get serious sunshine FOMO.
The dull, grey day means I've been able to focus and get down to business all day. The ironic thing though is more than half of my tasks for today have been outdoors! Thankfully it's not raining nor cold.
Here are some of thing things I've been up to:
I have decided to bring my car back to life by myself. It's got multiple problems that would require more money to resolve, if I were to take it to the mechanics, than the car is itself is worth. And that's just the thing - I can't actually take it anywhere as the battery is completely dead! It also has a leak from the windscreen, through the break booster into the actual car cabin. So every time it rains, the car gets soaked inside. This then led to a bit of mildew growing inside the car. Terrible haha.
I've installed a security system, including HD cameras, by myself, instead of having someone come to fit it for me. Yes indeed, now I can catch that flimsy fox that keeps getting into my trash.
There are other things, but these two have been what I've spent most of the day on.
